Sarah Swan Making Her Mark In The Fashion World With Her New Scarf Collection
STRIKING SCARVES FOR SUMMER
Another Irish scarf designer is quickly making her mark with very striking creations. Dubliner Sarah Swan studied interior design at the Dublin Institute of Design, art history and Italian in UCD and followed that with design work in London, Paris and in Italy.
Her large cashmere cotton scarves are made in Italy, come in over a dozen different designs including one in two colours that features the brand’s mandala-style logo.
The daughter of Judy Hill, a leading photographic model in the 1970s and Louis Murray, the well-known nightclub owner, Swan works with artist Peter Homan to create pieces that can be worn in many ways – as a stole, casually wrapped, tied with a belt or even as a beach sarong. Find them in Havanaboutique, Donnybrook, Ellen B boutiques in Clontarf and Malahide, Emporium Kalu in Naas and Juju in Greystones, for €249 each.
Style Secret
“Embrace who you are, know what styles you like and reflect your personality. Be your best self and feel good about your own style choices. Once you feel amazing, nobody can take that away from you.”
– Clara Halpin, head of personal shopping at Arnotts for the Irish Times
